Call for Applications Now Closed
The West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) under the sponsorship of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) had launched its call for applications early this year for the first marine graduate studies programme along with 10 other Doctoral and Master’s Research Programmes within the WASCAL community.
The Master Research Program in Climate Change and Marine Sciences is based at the University of Cabo Verde (UniCV). The program will cooperate closely with the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, the University of Kiel and the Thünen Institute, as German partner institutions, and with the National Institute for Fisheries Development (INDP) as the Cabo Verdean partner institution. The program will make use of the newly established Ocean Science Centre Mindelo (www.oscm.cv) and students will benefit from a dynamic research environment and projects running in the region.
This year's batch is granting twelve (12) students to be on scholarship in each graduate school and eight (8) fee paying students to make up a total of 20 students in each graduate school. The deadline for application was 29 March 2019. The Master's Research Program in Climate Change and Marine Sciences (MRP-CCMS) will start in June 2019.
