14 September 2020 / Kiel - Mindelo
8th SOLAS Summer School at the Ocean Science Centre Mindelo, Cape Verde, 2021 - postponed
The SOLAS Summer School is a biennial, international event that aims to teach the skills and knowledge of the many disciplines needed to understand the nature of ocean-atmosphere interactions and how to link ocean-atmosphere interactions with climate and people. The School will bring together over 70 students and 20 world-leading international scientists, in a variety of fields, for a combination of lectures and practical workshops. It allows doctoral students and early-career researchers to see how their work fits into the broad canvas of SOLAS, and global change research more generally.
In light of the current COVID-19 situation, the Summer School has been postponed. The application call is closed. A second application round will be announced in the coming months. A new date for the Summer School will be communicated early in 2021.
